The Business Support Specialist supports fundamental financial functions for the assigned FARMPOINT (HCE) locations. Tasks will include systematically recording, classifying, summarizing, and reporting data and financial transactions, including, but not limited to, Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). The role will also support ad hoc reporting activities to ensure accuracy and compliance of assigned duties. The position will be key in ensuring account accuracy to guide management's decision making for the business.
· Timely processing of incoming payments and credits to customer accounts (AR). Supports customer inquiries as needed.
· Enters expense and purchase order invoices and assists with the timely payment of incoming invoices within vendor terms (AP).
· Enters and maintains accurate data for new/used equipment inventory within DMS.
· Professionally interacts with internal and external vendors as required.
· Coordinates and follows up on equipment financing transactions as needed.
· Adheres to established company values, practices, policies and procedures always. Follows and supports compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations and standards.
· Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.
· Assists with outgoing invoice management and aging review as required.
· Prepares related financial reporting, including ad hoc reporting, as required or requested.
· Other tasks assigned or required by management.
· 2+ years' direct experience in the agriculture industry and/or banking or financial services are strongly preferred, not required.
· Previous Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Invoicing, and Reconciliation experience required.
· Must have a strong team member and customer centric mindset.
· Knowledge of general business practices with the ability to multi-task and follow through with defined tasks.
· Must be able to display high degree of professionalism, judgment, discretion, and confidentiality at all times.
· Proficient in computer usage including MS Office, including PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, & Excel with the ability to learn new software programs and processes.
· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and orally.
· Proven strong analytical skills.
· Must be self-sufficient with a proven ability to work independently and a strong willingness to learn.
· Strong organizational and time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines and manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
